Alwar government approves convention center but will not get Rs 23 crore

Alwar : Alwar The state government has approved the convention center, but it will have to be built on the Public Private Partnership (PPP) model. The government will not provide funds for this centre. UIT is now busy in further preparations so that this center comes on the ground, but it is not easy. For this, a firm will have to be selected which will take over the responsibility from its construction to operation. The proposal for the convention center was prepared by UIT about two years ago. Rs 23 crores were to be spent on this. Its design was prepared but the officers did not take it forward. Now the proposal went to the government for approval. Approval was given from there, but money was refused. It has been said to run on PPP model. This center will be established in about 8 bighas in Ambedkar Nagar. Apart from providing market to handicraftsmen, it will also be useful for theatre.
