Alwar : Alwar government is making efforts to expand medical services. Due to this, there has been some improvement in the condition of government hospitals in the last few years, but many medical institutions in rural areas are still struggling with lack of resources. The situation is that 26 medical institutions in the rural areas of the district do not even have their own buildings. In such a situation, they are being operated in a rented building. At the same time, the posts of about 72 doctors of gynecology, orthopedics and anesthesia and other specialists and general practitioners are also vacant in the district. Due to this, health services are being adversely affected.
This is the status of health services in the district: According to the Medical Department, the estimated population of the district is about 24 lakh 76 thousand 303. Which is divided into 9 blocks according to health services. In this, there is a medical college at the district headquarters in the urban area, a district hospital, a women’s hospital, a pediatric unit, a satellite hospital at Kala Kuan and a district tuberculosis hospital and 3 urban primary health centres. Besides, there is a sub-district hospital in Kherli and 3 dispensaries operating in urban areas. Apart from this, 23 community and 70 primary health centres, 4 first referral units, 3 blood storage units, 10 public clinics, one trauma unit in the district hospital and 373 sub-health centers are operating.

Sub health operated in Varanda of Ramgarh Panchayat Samiti, Nangla Madhopur of Kathumar, Indra Colony, Tusari, Dudheri, Indravali, Pisai, Jadla, Deyothana, Saunkhari, Kherli Rail and Tigaria, Mohabbatpur and Jatoli of Malakheda, Pipalhera of Raini and Dhani of Bairwa. The center operates in a rented building. Similarly, in Bijopur, Bhandwara, Kishanpura, Ringspuri, Rogada, Ramnagar, Machdi, Alapur, Sirawas and Alwar cities of Umrain Panchayat Samiti, UPHC Akhairpur is operating in a rented building.
