Alwar : December has started, but winter has not shown its true colors yet. If the weather continues like this then farmers may face huge problems. Due to short winter the seeds will not germinate properly, which will directly affect the yield. Usually, winter starts showing its effects by mid-November, but the current situation is that it is dry cold at night and in the morning. There is no moisture in the atmosphere, due to which there is neither fog nor rain yet, whereas these are going to provide benefits to the Rabi crop.
If the temperature is not reduced, crops will be damaged, fog is necessary: Agriculture Officer Dr. Arvind said that low temperature is beneficial for mustard crop, but it also thrives in normal temperature. Loss is possible only when there is rain and frost. Its growth is not affected in other seasons. At the same time, if there is no fog and cold for wheat, barley and gram crops, then their crops will not grow, which will directly affect the yield. He told that if the temperature is not as per the Rabi season crop, then the growth of the roots of the plants also stops, due to which the plant will stop taking nutrition and the crop yield will be affected.
