Alwar : Child Empowerment Department has started a foster home in the Government Communication and Juvenile Home run in Alwar Hasan Khan Mewat Nagar. In this, unwanted children can be abandoned by the family members. The identity of the person leaving will also be kept secret. Earlier, an effort was made by the department to establish a crèche in the campus, but encroachers have been encroaching outside the building of the communication center for almost seven years by setting up their tables, chairs and benches. Due to which the crèche was not being used. Now the child coming here can be adopted by the needy people through the Government Expert Adoption Agency. It is noteworthy that a foster home has been established in the Government Children’s Hospital at the district headquarters and the Government Observation and Juvenile Home. Here, two minutes after leaving the babies in the crib, the siren rings, informing the staff about the newborn baby.
The life of the newborn will be safeRavikant, Assistant Director of District Child Protection Unit, Alwar, said that where there was encroachment earlier, iron fencing has been done. Saplings will also be planted. An iron door has been made to enter the crib. This will make safe abandonment of newborn babies possible and their lives can be saved.
