Alwar, now TB patients will get double the amount of assistance

Alwar : Alwar To provide adequate nutrition to TB patients, the medical department has doubled the amount of nutrition. With this, TB patients will now be able to include more nutritious items in their diet. Due to which their recovery rate will also increase. The amount of Rs 500 per month given to TB patients by the National Health Mission (NHM) has been increased to Rs 1,000. Now TB patients of the state will get about Rs 14 crore 64 lakh 1600 every month. Whereas till October this amount was only around Rs 7 crore 32 lakh 8000. Every year about 11 thousand people suffer from TB in Alwar district.

More at risk from malnutrition: According to experts, malnourished people are more at risk of contracting TB disease. At the same time, due to illness, the condition of malnutrition worsens further. Removing it improves treatment response and also reduces mortality. In view of this, NHM has increased the amount given to TB patients from Rs 500 per month to Rs 1,000 under the National TB Elimination Program (NEP) under the Nikshay Nutrition Scheme (NPY) launched in the year 2018. This amount has been started to be given to TB patients from November 1.

The amount will be given like this

This amount will be given to TB patients in two installments of Rs 3,000 each. In which the first benefit of three thousand rupees will be given in advance at the time of treatment. The second installment will be given after completion of 84 days of treatment. Patients whose treatment will last more than 6 months. They will be given a separate amount of Rs 1,000 per month. The amount of assistance given to TB patients has been increased. According to this, now an amount of six thousand will be paid to the patient. With this they can include good nutrients in their food. Due to which their unity will increase and there will be a possibility of getting relief from the disease soon.
