Alwar : Dense fog remained in Alwar subdivision area till 12 noon on Monday. Due to the first dense fog of the season and cold wave, people remained shivering. Visibility on the highway reduced to just 50 meters. Along with Highway No. 48, State Highway-114 and 111, vehicles were also seen moving slowly with lights on on rural roads. Due to which traffic got affected and the problem of jam continued.
Due to fog, an empty bus without passengers went off the road and overturned in a field near Kankarchhaja village. The driver suffered minor injuries in this accident. The car went out of control near Manchal on Behror-Kund road and collided with an electric pole. Four people including the driver survived in the car. On receiving information about the accident, police and corporation team reached the spot. In fact, there was smog throughout the day on Sunday. From Monday morning, the first dense fog of the season started making people shiver. Due to increasing severity of cold, children had to go to school shivering. In the morning, parents were seen sending their children to school after dressing them in warm clothes due to the cold. The Meteorological Department has predicted further increase in cold in the coming days.
