Tonk : CM Trophy Badminton International Challenge competition was organized in Raipur, Chhattisgarh. Players from 12 countries participated in it. In the men’s doubles event, young badminton star Mohammed Aman, a rising star from Rajasthan’s Tonk district, won a silver medal while playing with Manipur’s young player Dinku Singh.
In the semi-finals, this pair defeated the pair of Rohit Jayakumar and Vishnu Kumar in straight sets 21-19, 21-11. The final matches of the competition were played on Sunday evening in which WBF 55th World Ranking Hariharan and Ruben Kumar defeated the pair of Mohammad Aman and Dinku Singh 16-21, 17-21 in a close match.
Mohammad Aman is a rising young player from Tonk district of Rajasthan. Who started his badminton career from Under 13 category from Tonk district. Aman has represented Rajasthan in national competitions four times.
He is ranked 9th in badminton doubles in India and 197th in the latest BWF World Ranking. After this competition their ranking will further improve. Aman had brought glory to the state by winning the silver medal in the All India Senior Badminton Ranking Dr. Akhilesh Das Memorial Competition held in Meerut in the year 2022. In the quarter-final match of this competition, their pair defeated the national winners Suraj Goala and Dhruv Rawat in a tough match by 12-21, 21-13, 21-19. The final was played in the presence of Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai and the winning players were awarded.
