Mother’s kidney transplanted and given to son
Dr. Mahendra of the Urologist Department of AIIMS said that a 32-year-old youth from Udaipur was complaining of kidney failure due to hypertension. In such a situation, he came to the hospital for treatment. After all the tests, he was admitted and advised to undergo kidney transplant. After this, his mother’s kidney has been transplanted and given to the young man.
Kidney removed without making any incision in the genitals
The kidney was given to the young man by his mother, who is 50 years old. For the first time, transplant was done using this technique. The operation took about 3 hours. Although kidney transplant operation is always done through binoculars in which a small incision is made, but for the first time in this case, the kidney was removed without making any incision in the woman’s private part and then the kidney was transplanted to her son. Two days later, the woman who donated the kidney was also discharged from the hospital.
This is the first such case in Jodhpur AIIMS
This is the first case when such a transplant has taken place in Rajasthan. So far, about 52 successful kidney transplants have been done in Jodhpur AIIMS. In Jodhpur AIIMS, transplant is done free of cost under Ayushman scheme. Not only Jodhpur AIIMS in Rajasthan but also AIIMS operating in other cities are continuously conducting new tests in the matter of health and medicine. However, now it remains to be seen whether such transplant facility can be provided in other hospitals in Rajasthan also or not.
