Amidst the by-elections, CM Bhajan Lal gave this big gift to milk producers, played a big bet.

Jaipur : Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma has given a big Diwali gift to the milk producers of the state. Amidst the process of by-elections being held on seven assembly seats, CM Bhajan Lal has paid Rs 183.22 crore to milk producers. This amount was distributed by the government under the Chief Minister Milk Producer Sambal Yojana. On the occasion of Diwali, the CM has transferred this amount directly to the bank accounts of milk producers. It is worth noting that the state government pays Rs 5 per liter to milk producers at dairies linked to cooperative societies.

Provision of Rs 600 crore in the budget

Rajasthan Co-operative Dairy Federation (RCDF) MD Shruti Bhardwaj said that under the Chief Minister Milk Producer Sambal Yojana, funds have been distributed to more than 3.25 lakh milk producers of the state. A subsidy of Rs 5 per liter is given by the government. Under this, this amount was transferred to the bank accounts of milk producers. Bhardwaj said that in the current financial year, the state government has kept a budget of Rs 600 crore under this scheme. Apart from this, dividend of more than Rs 20 crore was also distributed separately to various district milk unions.

Major contribution of cattle herders in milk production

Shruti Bhardwaj said that cattle farmers who sell milk in government dairies have a big contribution. Only when they sell milk, the government is able to provide milk to urban and rural areas where milk is required. Milk producing cattle farmers have an important contribution in increasing milk collection in the cooperative dairies of the state. In such a situation, the government is also fulfilling its commitment for the social and economic prosperity of milk producers.
