Amidst the by-elections in Rajasthan, 507 villages in 23 districts got a gift of Rs 658 crore, know what is there for you.

Jaipur : A big gift has been given to the people of the state amid the by-elections in Rajasthan. After the first Bhajan Lal government, an amount of crores has been approved to progress the works of Jal Jeevan Mission in the state. Rs 658.12 crore has been approved by the Central Government for issuing 181 work orders in 507 villages of 46 Panchayat Samitis in 23 districts. This will not only speed up the work of Jal Jeevan Mission in the state. Bhajanlal Sharma said that Jal Jeevan Mission Scheme is an ambitious scheme of the Central Government. But the previous government did not take this scheme seriously, due to which the work could not be completed within the stipulated time period. Now the state government is determined to provide tap water to every home. To speed up the scheme, Rs 658.12 crore has been sanctioned.

Work orders will be issued in these districts of the state

Water Supply Minister Kanhaiya Lal said that 33 panchayats of the state’s Ajmer, Balotra, Baran, Bharatpur, Chittorgarh, Deeg, Dholpur, Gangapur City, Hanumangarh, Jaisalmer, Jhalawar, Jodhpur, Karauli, Kekri, Pali, Sawai Madhopur, Sirohi, Sri Ganganagar and Udaipur. 137 work orders worth Rs 520.28 crore will be issued for 413 villages of the committees. These approvals will not only give impetus to the work of Jal Jeevan Mission but will also provide clean drinking water to the people living in the villages of these districts under the scheme, which will realize the dream of water for every house.

After the Model Code of Conduct, work orders will be issued in these districts

The Water Supply Minister said that since the Model Code of Conduct is effective in Alwar, Dungarpur, Jhunjhunu and Salumber of the state, work orders will be issued in these districts after the Model Code of Conduct. Let us tell you that under the Jal Jeevan Mission Scheme in the state, 46.31 lakh (48 percent) houses have been benefited by establishing domestic water connections.
