Jaipur : Amidst the confusion in the new districts of Rajasthan created under Gehlot rule, a surprising case has come to light. In Kotputli-Behror district, the water supply department made a big mistake. In such a situation, Bhajanlal government is now preparing to take major action against the officials. In fact, in Behror, a payment of Rs 11.94 crore was made to the contractor without laying the water line. A factual report has been sought from the Kotputli-Behror Superintending Engineer for action against the then Executive and Assistant Engineer involved in the case. But the report has not been sent till date. The Rajasthan government has considered this serious and has prepared to take action against the Kotputli-Behror Superintending Engineer.
This is the whole matter
Let us tell you that in the year 2013, the pipes and pumpsets of tube wells had to be changed for smooth supply in Behror. But the contractor, in connivance with Behror’s then executive engineer Ashok Kumar and assistant engineer Ramkishore Yadav, inserted old pipes in the tube well. In many places the pipeline was not even laid. He collected payment of Rs 11.94 crore by claiming that he was laying DI and HDPE pipeline. A report was sought from the Kotputli-Behror Superintending Engineer but was not sent. Due to this, charge sheets could not be given to both the engineers and they were also promoted.
