Amidst the ongoing uproar over ‘Vote Jihad’, Maulana Siraj Khan appeals to vote in favor of Mahavikas Aghadi.

Mumbai, November 15 (IANS). Amidst the excitement of Maharashtra Assembly elections, there is a lot of rhetoric being made by the opposition and the parties regarding ‘Vote Jihad’. Some leaders of Maharashtra BJP are even claiming that funding has been done from abroad for vote jihad in Maharashtra.

Amidst all these claims, a claim was also made by the BJP leaders that All India Ulema Board had recently sent a letter to Mahavikas Aghadi with its 17 demands. The Ulema Board had said in its letter that it is ready to support the Mahavikas Aghadi alliance in the upcoming assembly elections. But, he has one condition that when Mahavikas Aghadi comes to power, he should fulfill its demands. On this, Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee wrote a letter saying that all these demands are acceptable to it. Ulema Board Chairman Naib Ansari made this letter public on his social media Facebook on October 31.

Amidst all these controversies, before the voting to be held on November 20 in Maharashtra, after the Friday prayers on Friday (November 15), if sources are to be believed, an appeal was made to the mosques to vote in favor of Mahavikas Aghadi. While talking to IANS regarding this, Jamiat-e-Ulema Mumbai President Maulana Siraj Khan has appealed to the people to vote in favor of Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) candidates. Maulana Siraj Khan said on Friday that after the formation of Mahavikas Aghadi government, he wants Uddhav Thackeray to become the Chief Minister of the state again.

Maulana Siraj Khan praised the leadership ability of Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray during the Mahavikas Aghadi government, especially during the Covid-19 crisis. He said that the situation in Maharashtra was much better during Covid. While people were dying in other states, dead bodies were being washed into the Ganga. But, people in Maharashtra were provided food, water and travel facilities. This is why we want Uddhav Thackeray to become the Chief Minister again.

Maulana Siraj Khan praised the leadership style of Uddhav Thackeray and said that he is a good person and has respect for every section of the society. He said that he has a very good heart, he has done excellent work for every society. There was no discrimination in Maharashtra during his government.

Appealing to the Muslim community and people of other religions to vote in favor of the candidates of Mahavikas Aghadi, he said that Muslims should use their vote and vote for those candidates who are secular and working for all sections of the society. Are going to be. We have appealed to all the communities to vote in the elections on 20th and support the candidates of Mahavikas Aghadi.

Maulana Siraj Khan has issued a letter in this regard. In the letter he has especially appealed to the Muslims to vote. This letter was written in Urdu. He also told through this letter that when Mahavikas Aghadi was in power in Maharashtra, there was an atmosphere of peace and brotherhood in the entire state, which has now deteriorated after the change of power.

On the allegations of ‘Vote Jihad’ by BJP, Maulana Siraj Khan said that BJP leader and Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis should understand the true meaning of Jihad. He said that when BJP people talk about themselves, they should understand that Jihad does not just mean terrorism. This is a religious and social service method, which they are not able to understand. He said that if it is right for BJP to support any organization then it cannot be wrong for people of other communities to stand up for their rights.

Siraj Khan also mentioned the increasing challenges for Muslims in the election environment. He said that an atmosphere has been created against Muslims, and the situation has worsened especially in Maharashtra. We want Muslims to cast their vote peacefully and without any fear, so that a government is formed in the state which is dedicated to everyone and maintains peace in the society.
