Jaipur : With the announcement of Haryana and Jammu Kashmir Assembly election results, the Central Government also gave permission to all the states to change the boundaries of divisions, districts, subdivisions, tehsils and villages and other administrative units till December 31. Administrative boundaries will be frozen again from January 1. This order issued from the Census Registrar General office on Tuesday cleared the way for changing the boundaries of new districts created during the previous government in Rajasthan. On the other hand, this order also made it clear that there will be no census in the country this year. However, Union Home Minister Amit Shah had recently indicated that the census would be conducted soon. On Tuesday, the Census Registrar General issued an order in this regard to the Chief Secretaries and Census Directorates of all the states. According to the order, in December last year, the Census Registrar General had increased the boundaries of all administrative units including districts, tehsils, villages in the country after June 30. There was a ban on changing. In such a situation, questions were being raised since July 1 regarding the work related to review of new districts of Bhajan Lal government. Last month, the Rajasthan government had got the freedom to change the boundaries of units like subdivision, tehsil and village in compliance with the budget announcement, but it did not have the freedom to change the boundaries of districts.
Rajasthan government got relief
The state government has got relief by getting permission to change the boundaries of administrative units till December 31. With this, the Cabinet Committee formed to review the districts formed during the previous government has got more time to take a decision. CM Bhajanlal Sharma had recently sent a letter to Union Home Minister Amit Shah requesting for permission for formation of districts, tehsils, subdivisions and villages.
The blame may fall on these districts
Out of 17 new districts of Rajasthan, there are 12 which do not fit in the parameters. These include the names of Dudu, Kotputli-Behror, Khairthal-Tijara, Neemkathana, Kekri, Deeg, Gangapur City, Shahpura, Phalodi, Salumber, Sanchore and Anupgarh districts. In such a situation, it is believed that the boundaries of these new districts can be changed. The committee formed in conjunction with Madan Dilawar to review the new districts soon sent the final report to the government. On which only CM Bhajanlal Sharma will take the final decision.
