Bharatpur : An encounter took place between the police and cow smugglers late on Tuesday night in Deeg district. During this, Sandeep Prajapati, who was carrying cows in another tempo, died after being shot. Along with him, Naresh Jadon was taken into custody by the police. The police have seized a pickup full of cattle. Sandeep Prajapati was a resident of Songaon in Deeg. On receiving the information, IG Rahul Prakash, SP Deeg Rajesh Meena reached Kumher police station.
The relatives of the deceased and the villagers surrounded the police station
The incident took place near Pichumar turn in Kumher police station area. After the incident, the family members of the deceased Sandeep and villagers reached Kumher police station in large numbers. They said that the deceased Sandeep was innocent and that there were stray cows in the village. They used to damage the crops. Therefore, Sandeep was going to leave the stray cows at Mandhera Rundh by loading them in a tempo.

Police say that the deceased got caught between cow smugglers and police. The cow smugglers shot him thinking he was a police informer. They escaped by breaking the blockade. SP Deeg Rajesh Meena has told that the police had received information that cow smugglers were smuggling cows in a pickup vehicle. The police was chasing the cow smugglers. During the encounter between the police and the cow smugglers, another tempo vehicle reached near Pichumar turn. There were cows in it too. The cow smugglers thought that he had brought the police with him, so the cow smugglers shot him, due to which he died.
The family is demanding a post-mortem in judicial custody
The cow smugglers have escaped by breaking the blockade and are being searched for. The post-mortem of the deceased has not been done yet. The police is investigating the matter. The family of the deceased is demanding the medical board to conduct the post-mortem in judicial custody. Only after the post-mortem will it be clear whose bullet hit the deceased? Regarding this matter, the family of the deceased and the villagers say that we want justice. If we do not get justice, we will stage protests and block the road.
