Ambala, December 4 (IANS). Cabinet Minister Anil Vij on Wednesday gave a big gift to the people of Ambala Cantonment of Haryana. He inaugurated the flyover built at a cost of Rs 22 crore and dedicated it to the public.

Anil Vij said that this flyover will benefit thousands of people as it will not only connect Nanheda Rangiya Mandi and Machaunda with the rest of the city but the commuters will also get connectivity with GT Road. While this will provide relief from traffic problems, accidents will also reduce and people of dozens of villages will also get connectivity on GT Road from both sides.

This flyover has been constructed by PWD. PWD Executive Engineer Ritesh Aggarwal said that the total cost of building it was Rs 21.5 crore, out of which Rs 7 crore was borne by the Railways. Thousands of people will benefit from this flyover.

While interacting with the media after the inauguration ceremony, Vij said that railway lines are running from Ambala Cantonment to various cities. For this reason, Ambala Cantonment was divided into pieces, due to which development was not taking place. There were four gates in Ambala Cantonment, in which flyovers of Ghasitpur, Shahpur and Machaunda have been built and the flyover of Nanhera will be ready in the next two months.

Condemning the attack on Shiromani Akali Dal chief Sukhbir Singh Badal this morning, Anil Vij said that this is a very serious matter, in which Punjab Police is also investigating and trying to know who is the attacker behind this. What was the purpose of? The good thing is that Sukhbir Badal is safe. The attacker has been caught and action is being taken.

Regarding the atrocities on Hindus in Bangladesh, he said that whenever Hindus are persecuted in any foreign country, they look towards India with hope, hence we should support the Hindu brothers. Chinmoy Krishnadas should be released.
