Jaipur : Jaipur There is a possibility of announcement of by-elections on seven assembly seats of Rajasthan today. The Election Commission can announce the dates this afternoon. By-elections are to be held on Jhunjhunu, Dausa, Devli-Uniara, Khinvsar Chaurasi, Salumber, Ramgarh seats in the state. Elections will be held again on these seats within 11 months of the assembly elections held in the year 2023. Of these, 5 seats are vacant due to MLAs becoming MPs and two seats are vacant due to the death of MLAs.


Code of conduct will be imposed on seven seats

With the announcement of by-elections on seven seats, the code of conduct will come into effect with immediate effect. With the implementation of the code of conduct, no inauguration, inauguration or announcement of government scheme will be possible on these seats. The government will not be able to make any such announcement which will influence the voters on these seats, in such a situation there will be a ban on new government works. Ministers will not be able to use government vehicles and facilities in areas with 7 seats.

Out of 7, BJP had only Salumber seat.

Out of the 7 seats where by-elections are going to be held in the state, BJP had only Amritlal Meena MLA from Salumber seat, out of the remaining 6 seats, 4 were with Congress, one seat was with Bharatiya Adivasi Party and 1 RLP. There were Congress MLAs from Jhunjhunu, Dausa, Deoli-Uniara and Ramgarh seats.
