Udaipur : SOG has arrested one more accused in the much talked about scam of 272 plots of Udaipur Municipal Corporation. In collaboration with the corporation officials, it created fake documents of the plot and got the lease deed and transfer letter issued in the name of a fake person. SOG ASP Swati Sharma said that a report was filed in the year 2022 in the scam of 272 plots. It was told that Rajendra Dhakad, along with officials and employees of the Municipal Corporation, prepared fake documents for plot number 546 of the Corporation in Hiranmagari Sector-11. Got the lease deed and transfer letter issued from the corporation in the name of fake person Kishan Patel. Then sold it to Salumber resident Anil Kachauria for Rs 50.01 lakh.
While investigating this case, SOG arrested Rajendra Dhakad. During interrogation, it was revealed that he had deposited Rs 7 lakh in the bank account of Kishanlal Gameti, resident of Eklavya Basti, Mallatlai. Kishan withdrew this money and gave it to Kishan Marwari and Rakesh Solanki. Both of them had delivered the money to Vikram Takadiya. SOG is interrogating the accused. Let us tell you, the City Development Trust had transferred some colonies to the Municipal Corporation in the year 2012. Many of these plots were vacant and most of them were corner. People took possession of them due to lack of proper maintenance. The transfer of names of many plots was done by making fake documents. Some were sold by brokers.
Kataria and MLA have raised this issue
This issue was raised by Congress associate councilor Ajay Porwal in the year 2022. After investigation, the corporation canceled 48 leases. Meanwhile, Punjab Governor Gulabchand Kataria and sitting MLA Tarachand Jain had also raised the issue and called it a Rs 500 crore scam. The investigation into the SOG case is going on from April 2022. Between November 7 and 13, SOG had arrested Rakesh Solanki, former ward panch of Panchmahal, Gujarat, and Udaipur resident Deepak Singh and on November 21, Kishanlal had been arrested.
