Another dam of Rajasthan is ready to overflow, water arrived in “Banganga Dam”

Dausa : This time in Dausa district of Rajasthan, many dams have overflowed due to record breaking rains. At the same time, people are very happy with the water coming in many rivers. Due to continuous rains in the Bandikui area in the past few days, water has come in Banganga, Sanwa and Palasan rivers. However, due to illegal gravel mining in the past, deep pits have become an obstacle in the path of the rivers. Due to heavy rains, water has come up to several feet in the Sanwa river till Arnia, while some water has also come in the bed of the Banganga river. On the other hand, after many years, three to four feet of water has come in the Palasan river. Due to this, the road from Gullana to Baswa got blocked. However, the local people are still waiting for good water inflow in the rivers.

Rehdia Dam is ready to overflow after 9 years

Due to good rains in the recent past, the inflow of water in Rehdia Dam is high. So far, the water has reached more than 13 and a half feet. The total filling capacity of the dam is 15 feet. In the year 2015, Rehdia Dam was completely filled. In such a situation, after about 9 years, there has been proper inflow of water. This will also increase the water level in the surrounding area. The villagers are also hopeful of the dam getting filled. People are very happy due to the good amount of water coming into the dam.

Water came in Banganga river after 20 years

Here, water finally started flowing in the Banganga river, which is considered the lifeline of ground water level of dozens of nearby villages including Sikandra, after 20 years. The water started flowing in the Banganga river from Monday morning itself, which continued till evening. A large number of people reached the culvert built on the Sikandra Bandikui State Highway to see the water. However, this water has come due to the breaking of anicuts built in the nearby villages situated on the river bank.
