Jaipur : Bhajanlal government has given a big blow by cutting another decision of former CM Ashok Gehlot. The Gandhi Vatika Nyas Trust formed to operate the Gandhi Darshan Museum built in the Central Park of the capital Jaipur ended on Tuesday. The Bhajanlal government passed the Gandhi Vatika Nyas Repeal Bill by voice vote in the House. Minister Sumit Godara said that the previous Congress government had given unlimited powers to the vice-president in the Gandhi Vatika Trust, in which even if the chairman wants to remove someone, he will have to discuss with the vice-president. At the same time, the right to sell the property was also given to the trust. He said that the previous Congress government formed the trust on 3 October 2023 but till date not a single meeting has been held. The museum built at a cost of 85 crores has not been opened to the public. Our government will operate the Gandhi Darshan Museum. No trust is needed for this.
Does the government want Gandhi or Godse: Julie
Leader of Opposition Tikaram Julie said that our government had established this trust to spread the ideas of Mahatma Gandhi to as many people as possible. The first bill of the BJP government has come in the House, that too to abolish Gandhi Vatika. The government should tell whether it believes in Gandhi’s ideas or Nathuram Godse’s. If the government is right, then send this bill to the public to know the public opinion. Through this, the public will decide whether they are in favor of ending this Gandhi Vatika Trust or in favor of continuing it.
