Jaipur : Government has started work to bring water to Ramgarh Dam. The detailed project report (DPR) of PKC-ERCP has been prepared. In this, the alignment to deliver water from Isarda Dam to Ramgarh Dam has been decided. The distance between the two dams (based on the canal route) has been revealed to be about 120 kilometers.
In this, canal will be laid in 35 kilometers distance and pipeline will be laid in the remaining 85 kilometers. This situation has been stated in the report sent by the Water Resources Department to the Central Water Commission. Everything worked through planning and if water comes into the dam, arrangements will be made to provide water to about 3.50 lakh people. The project cost is estimated to be around Rs 3100 crore.

From Isarda Dam, the line will pass through Suratpura in Piplu tehsil, Suratrampura, Tingaria, Chandelkhurd, Bishanpura, Kanota, Lali, Chaumukha villages in Niwai. The search will proceed near the river. For this, an action plan for land acquisition is being prepared.

It will take four years to complete the plan
Under ERCP, there is Navnera Galwa Bisalpur-Isarda Link Project to bring Chambal water to Bilaspur and Isarda Dam. First the water will come to Isarda Dam and from there it will reach Ramgarh Dam. This will take about four years. With the arrival of water in the dam, the drinking water crisis in more than a thousand villages of six tehsils of Jaipur district will be resolved. Besides, water will also be available for irrigation.
