Banswara News Desk: Inter-college athletic competition started on Monday at the sports grounds of Govind Guru Tribal University and New Look Girls College. Chief guest was Vice Chancellor of GGTU, Prof. Keshav Singh Thakur said that the university administration is trying to provide international level sports facilities to the players of Vagad. The function was presided over by Dr. Pradeep Kothari, Director, New Look Group of Institutions. He said that due to the continuous efforts of the university and private colleges, the talents of Vagad are leaving their mark at the national level.
Special guest was District Sports Officer Dhaneshwar Maida, Assistant Director of New Look Institute Deep Kothari, Supervisor Prof. It was Ashish Kumar. Principal of New Look Girls College, Dr. Sushil Sompura said that 15 events including 100, 200, 1500 and 10 thousand meter run, long jump, high jump and shot put will be played in the competition. In the student category 10 thousand meter race, Kalpesh Ninama of Govind Guru College stood first, Ajay Damor stood second, Ajay Kumar of SDRK College stood third. In the student category 1500 meter race, Arvind Mayda of SGGC Banswara stood first, Rahul Damor stood second and Maharshi Rot of Raj Noble College Dungarpur stood third. In high jump, Chandulal of Government College Ramsagada stood first, Sumit Joshi of Leo College stood second, Nikhil Paneri of RNT College Arthuna stood third. In triple jump, Daniyal stood first, Kamlesh Masar of Aravali College stood second, Ganesh Patel of SGG College stood third.
In javelin throw, Vishram Rawat of SGG College stood first, Kamlesh Masar of Aravali College Banswara stood second, Ripumdan Singh of Adarsh College Anandpuri stood third. In shot put, Mahesh Kalasua of SGG College stood first, Choice Kalal of Flower Kids College Sagwara stood second, Lal Singh of SGG College stood third. In the 100 meter race of the girl category, Chhaya Mayda of Aravali College stood first, Anjali Rot of Shivnarayan Chaubisa College stood second, Sunita Garasia of SGG College Banswara stood third. In the 1500 meter girls category, Sania Maida of SGG College stood first, Nirma Katara stood second, Pinky Roat of Disha Degree College, Banswara stood third. In high jump, Meenakshi of SGG College stood first, Chandraprabha of Aravali College stood second, Priyanshi of Aravali College stood third.
