Ajmer : AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi has reacted to the claim of there being a Hindu temple in the Dargah complex of Khwaja Moinuddin Hasan Chishti. On Wednesday, when the court accepted the petition claiming that there is a Sankat Mochan Mahadev temple in the Dargah complex, Owaisi said that the law of places of worship of 1991 clearly says that the religious identity of any place of worship cannot be changed, nor in the court. These cases will be heard.
Vishnu Gupta had filed the petition
In fact, Hindu Sena’s national president Vishnu Gupta had filed a petition through advocates Ishwar Singh and Ramswaroop Bishnoi to remove the alleged unauthorized occupation of the Dargah Committee. The petition claimed that earlier there was a temple of Lord Shiva on the land of the Dargah. Worship and Jalabhishek have been performed there. It was also claimed that there was a Jain temple in the Dargah complex.
Claim of part of the debris of the door construction temple
The petition cited a book written in 1911 by Harvilas Sharda, a resident of Ajmer. On the basis of this, evidence of there being a temple in place of the Dargah was mentioned, in which it has been claimed that there are traces of the debris of the temple in the construction of the 75 feet tall door present in the Dargah complex. There was also talk of a basement or sanctum sanctorum there and it was said that there was a Shivalinga there, where Brahmin families used to worship.
The court accepted the petition claiming that there were Hindus in the Dargah premises and issued a notice to the defendant. The next hearing in the case will be held on December 20.
After the court accepted the petition claiming that there is a Hindu temple in the Dargah complex, Asaduddin Owaisi said that Sultan-e-Hind Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti (RA) is one of the most important Auliya Ikram of the Muslims of India. People have been visiting his place for centuries and will continue to visit.
Owaisi mentioned the 1991 Act
Owaisi further wrote, “Many kings, maharajas, emperors have come and gone, but the temple of Khwaja Ajmeri is still inhabited. The law of places of worship of 1991 clearly says that the religious identity of any place of worship cannot be changed, These cases will not be heard in the court, it is the legal duty of the courts to implement the 1991 Act. It is very regrettable that the law and the Constitution are being flouted to fulfill the agenda of the Hindutva system.”
At the same time, Secretary of Anjuman Committee, the elected body of the servants of Khwaja Garib Nawaz, Sarwar Chishti said that there was, is and will remain the Dargah of Khwaja Garib Nawaz in Ajmer. Dargah Committee’s lawyer Ashok Kumar Mathur said that if anyone challenges the existence of the 1000 years old Dargah, then it is against the 1961 decision of the Supreme Court passed in the petition challenging the constitutional challenge to the Worship Act 1991 and Dargah Khwaja Saheb Act. .
