Jaipur : There is a political tussle in Rajasthan over the 17 new districts created by the previous Gehlot government. Former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has hit back at Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma’s statement. He said that ‘There is a new district every 40 km in Haryana. More districts should be created now.’ It is worth noting that Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma had recently targeted the Congress government over the creation of new districts in the RAS convention and said that ‘How much money is spent on a district, how many resources are needed, should have been thought about that. The decision of districts was taken without thinking.’
The government should have its own policy- Gehlot
Former CM Ashok Gehlot hit back and said that ‘The government should have its own policy on how to manage the districts. What difference does it make if the district is small or big. There is a new district every 40 km in Haryana. An experiment of creating small districts was done in our government. More districts should be created now.’
