Ajmer : Superintendent of Police Vandita Rana on Tuesday suspended the PSO of ASP in the case of pistol theft on November 14, the day of Bollywood singer Kailash Kher Night event at Ajmer Pushkar Fair. The SP has accepted the negligence of the PSO in the theft of the pistol in the crowd of the fair ground. On Tuesday, SP Vandita Rana suspended Additional Superintendent of Police (Ajmer Range), Vigilance Vijay Sankhala’s PSO Suresh Devanda, resident of Chakwara, Dudu Phagi. Constable Suresh Devanda Recently, a PSO of ASP (Ajmer Range) was deployed from the Reserve Police Line. It is noteworthy that on the night of 14th November at 9.30 pm, PSO Suresh Devanda was present on duty along with ASP Sankhala at the Pushkar fair ground.

While entering the fair ground through the VIP entrance, the 9 mm government pistol with its magazine was stolen from the belt of PSO Suresh Devanda. The stolen pistol was loaded with 10 cartridges. Suresh Devanda had filed a case of pistol theft in Pushkar police station.

Investigation revealed that PSO Suresh Devanda was wearing a government pistol with a cover in his belt. But he was not wearing a pistol lanyard. As a result, the thief easily took out the PSO’s pistol from the crowd gathered at the VIP gate at the fair grounds.
