Dr. Balaji Jagannathan, a renowned medical oncologist, was attacked with a knife by a 26-year-old man at the Kalaignar Centenary Super Specialty Hospital in Chennai, the capital of Tamil Nadu. Expressing grief over this, Raj Bhavan has asked the government to take action.
This incident happened around 10 am on Wednesday morning, which stunned both the hospital staff and the patients. The attacker tried to flee the spot but was caught by the hospital staff and later handed him over to the police at Guindy police station.

The police are interrogating the attacker by taking him into custody. The motive behind this attack is said to be revenge. According to the information, the attacker has committed such an incident due to complaints related to the treatment of his mother.
Tamil Nadu Health Minister Ma Subramaniam on Wednesday visited Kalaignar Centenary Super Specialty Hospital in Guindy to inquire about the health of Dr. Balaji Jagannathan. A senior hospital official said, “Cardiac oncologist Dr Balaji Jagannathan had recently undergone surgery. He was stabbed at seven places and had lost a lot of blood. He has been kept in the ICU and his condition is currently stable.” Is stable.”
