Attempt to arrest former Ajmer councilor digitally failed

Ajmer : Ajmer: A gang of online fraudsters tried to cheat former BJP councilor Chandresh Sankhla on the pretext of misuse of Aadhaar card. The girl involved in the gang first tried to trap the councilor in the name of TRAI. Then a fraudster in the guise of an Inspector of Maharashtra Mumbai Andheri Police Station made a failed attempt to trap Sankhla.

Councilor Chandresh Sankhla said that on the call he received on Tuesday, the caller, posing as TRAI, said that he would misuse his Aadhaar card to get a mobile phone number allotted. Due to which objectionable material has been sent to many people. More than 17 complaints have been received against him at Andheri police station. After a long conversation, the caller asked Sankhla to come to Andheri police station within 2 hours and give an explanation. On the fact that Sankhala was in Rajasthan, he threatened to block the mobile phone numbers issued from her Aadhaar card. The caller kept asking Sankhla for a copy or photo of her Aadhar card. At last he forwarded Sankhala’s call. The second caller also tried to pressurize Sankhla to take action on fake SIM card issue and complaints received against him, but Sankhla remained patient. He responded to the calls of the caller but did not give the photo copy of the Aadhaar card. After all, he also shared the number of Andheri police station by sending the FIR number on Sankhla’s social media account.

When Sankhla made a video call on the mobile number made available on social media, a young man named Inspector Bal Singh Rajput appeared in front of him. He also complained about Sankhla getting a mobile SIM card issued by misusing her Aadhaar card and making wrong messages and information viral. He also kept insisting on giving the copy of Aadhaar card from Sankhala. After a lot of conversation, the clever fraudster understood Sankhala’s intentions. Finally he disconnected the video call.
