Kota : During Ganesh Visarjan in Baran district of Rajasthan, two parties clashed over a trivial issue. During this, people from both the sides pelted stones at each other and set two bikes on fire. About a dozen people from both the sides were injured in the fight. As soon as the information about the incident was received, the police reached the spot and the injured were taken to the hospital.
Attack with sharp weapon in a fight
According to the information, during Ganesh Visarjan at Badgaon bridge near Anta, a fight broke out between two parties. In which both the parties pelted stones on each other. Not only this, there have also been reports of attack with sharp weapons. Two bikes were set on fire in the fight.
Dispute arose due to throwing stones in the river
Anta DYSP Shyoji Lal Meena said that late in the evening, people from Gurjar and Banjara communities were present on the river during Ganesh Visarjan. Bunty Gurjar, a resident of Ganeshpura, threw a stone when a buffalo came into the river during Ganesh Visarjan, but the stone did not hit the buffalo but hit a boy from Banjara community. However, as a compromise, people from Banjara community said that they would treat the injured boy and end the matter, but the stone thrower Bunty Gurjar refused to get treatment.
About a dozen people were injured
The matter escalated and when other people from both communities came to know about the incident, they reached the spot. They clashed with each other and there was heavy stone pelting. During this, two motorcycles were set on fire. The DYSP said that about 6 people from the Gurjar community and 9 people from the Banjara community were injured. Suresh Banjara of the Banjara community has been referred to Kota as his condition is critical. The rest of the injured are being treated in the hospital. The police will take further action after receiving complaints from both sides.
