New Delhi, December 9 (IANS). Famous teacher Avadh Ojha, who recently joined the Aam Aadmi Party, has been fielded by the party by giving him ticket from Patparganj assembly seat. AAP leader and former Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia is the MLA from this seat. Now Manish Sisodia has been fielded from Jangpura seat. Awadh Ojha has thanked the AAP leadership.
“First of all, I would like to thank the people of Patparganj and also extend my heartfelt thanks to AAP and its workers,” the AAP leader told IANS on Monday.
When asked why he chose to contest from Patparganj, Avadh Ojha said, “It was my demand. My family lives in Vinod Nagar. Since I am associated with the education sector, I was inclined towards Patparganj. Patparganj Manish Sisodia had contested elections before and was an MLA, now he has got the seat from Jangpura.
On BJP’s jibe at Manish Sisodia on leaving Patparganj to contest from Jangpura, he said, “We want to talk to him, but we want to discuss the issue of education and health.”
It is noteworthy that Awadh Ojha had recently joined the Aam Aadmi Party. After this, he praised you and said that after 2015, 97 percent results of CBSE board have come in government schools of Delhi. In the year 2015, 15 students from government schools were selected for IIT. This number will increase to 783 in the year 2024. Where people used to think that government school boys are not capable of doing anything, Aam Aadmi Party has changed that concept. Mohalla Clinic means how will a common man who earns Rs 200 a day pay the fees of a private doctor? There is a long line in the government hospital. But, Mohalla Clinic has provided a facility that every person can get treatment and meet the doctor. This is a very revolutionary step. This should be appreciated.
