Awareness campaign regarding pneumonia disease launched in Jalore district

CMHO Dr. Ramashankar Bharti, RCHO Dr. Rajkumar Bajia, WHO representative Dr. Pankaj Suthar, Dr. Anita Chauhan released the poster of Sans Abhiyan at Jalore : Jalore Swasthya Bhavan on Wednesday. And the general public will be made aware by giving information about pneumonia.

Chief Medical and Health Officer Dr. Ramashankar Bharti said that pneumonia and its complications are a major cause of death in children up to 5 years of age in the country. Working on the prevention, treatment and treatment of pneumonia in children, the department in the district started the SANS (Social Awareness and Action to Successfully Neutralize Pneumonia) campaign with the release of a poster on 12th November. Which will be held till 28 February 2025.

District Reproductive and Child Health Officer Dr. Rajkumar Bajiya said- Various activities will be organized in the district under the Sans campaign. Under the campaign, all children up to 5 years of age in the district will be tested for pneumonia.

Pneumonia/respiratory training will be conducted through skill laboratory at the ANMTC and GNMTC centers operating in the district. Various awareness activities and IEC materials are being demonstrated at the health centers with the aim of making the general public aware about pneumonia in the district.
