Similarly, due to the leopard being more aggressive and powerful, it has been named Rana. A leopard here has been named Bigfoot because its paws are bigger than those of other leopards.

Similarly, like the biggest tiger fish of Ranthambore, a leopard here has been named Flora Fish because it gives birth to the maximum number of cubs. A leopard here was named Nathwali because it had a nose ring like a nose ring. A pair of male and female leopards always live together in the forests of Jhalana, due to which they have been named Romeo Juliet. Apart from all this, a leopard, famous for its bravery among wildlife lovers and photographers, has been named Bahadur.
Apart from leopards, you can see striped hyenas, Indian civets, desert cats, jungle cats, desert foxes, jackals, porcupines, wild rats, monitor lizards, mongoose, sambar deer, chital, nilgai and innumerable species of snakes. Along with this, a lot of bird species are also present in the park, which makes it a paradise for bird watchers.
The Jhalana forest is a dry deciduous forest, similar to the sloping valleys and sharp rocks of the Aravalli Hills. Plants like Juliflora and Khejri, which grow in dry conditions in the forest, are most commonly found. Apart from this, many other local plants are found here which include Dhak, Salar, Dhonk and Kumta. The biodiversity of this area also contributes to making it a suitable home for leopards.
