Azam Khan’s letter declares civil war in SP: Manish Shukla

Mumbai, December 11 (IANS). Samajwadi Party leader and former Uttar Pradesh minister Azam Khan wrote a letter from Sitapur jail urging the party to raise the issue of Rampur as strongly as it is raising the issue of Sambhal. BJP leader Manish Shukla has called it a civil war within the Samajwadi Party.

Releasing a video on Wednesday, Manish Shukla said, “Azam Khan’s letter is a declaration of civil war in the Samajwadi Party. It is a declaration of dissatisfaction on Akhilesh Yadav. Everyone knows what Akhilesh Yadav’s conduct has been towards Azam Khan.” But Azam Khan should also improve his conduct. If anyone plays with the law, be it Rampur or Sambhal, within the ambit of the law. Strict action will be taken.”

It is noteworthy that Azam Khan, in his message sent from Sitapur jail, has said that Samajwadi Party should raise the issue of atrocities and destruction in Rampur in the Parliament with the same energy with which the issue of Sambhal was raised. Sambhal was attacked only after the successful experience in Rampur. The ‘India’ coalition maintained silence on the Rampur devastation and tried to eliminate the Muslim leadership. Now the ‘India’ block will have to clarify its position, otherwise the present and future of Muslims will have to be seriously considered.

Azam Khan has written that he should clearly express his position on the attacks on Muslims, their current situation and his policy. If the vote of Muslims has no importance and their vote is leading to their genocide, then they will have to seriously consider whether their right to vote should be retained or not.
