Ban on burning of stubble: Despite the ban on burning of stubble, poison mixed in the air of Sriganganagar, the air became like smoking 2 cigarettes every hour

According to the data received from Sriganganagar : Central Pollution Control Board, the AQI level of Sriganganagar today (7th November) remains around 320. There is an atmosphere of dust and fog in the sky throughout the day. Along with this, due to this smoke, people suffering from respiratory diseases have started experiencing irritation in the eyes and difficulty in breathing. The number of respiratory patients has also started increasing in the hospital. The level of pollution is so much that on Tuesday and Wednesday the AQI level had crossed 400, which shows a very bad situation. There was a sudden increase in AQI level after Diwali. It reached very poor category.

AQI above 300 is considered very bad

According to the Meteorological Department standards, AQI level between 51 to 100 is considered satisfactory, 101 to 200 is moderate, 201 to 300 is poor, 301 to 400 is very poor, and 401 to 500 is severe. AQI level crossing 300 means that the air quality is very poor, which can be harmful to health.

Administration gave orders not to burn stubble

The biggest reason for this air pollution is the burning of stubble in the fields. In view of this pollution, the district administration has banned burning of stubble in the fields. According to doctors, the number of COPD and pneumonia patients will increase. Doctors have appealed to people to wear masks.

There will be relief when it rains

Relief from this air pollution will be available only when it rains. The level of pollution dissolved in the air is so much that it will take a long time to come down, in such a situation the environment will be clear when it rains, but the Meteorological Department has not expressed the possibility of rain for the next few days.
