Banswara distributed insurance money to farmers across the state

Banswara : To compensate for the loss of crops due to natural disaster and excessive rainfall, under the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana of the Central Government, the insurance claim amount of Rs 1 crore 67 lakh has been transferred to the KCC accounts of 4804 affected farmers of the district. Bhuvan Pandya, Banswara District Coordinator (Vendor) of Agriculture Insurance Company, an agency that insures crops, said – A total of 39 thousand 594 farmers of the district had insured their fields of 28 thousand hectare area for the crops of Rabi-2023 season. For this, he had deposited about Rs 8 crore including the share of Central and State Government. Of these, 4804 farmers have suffered loss in their crops. On the basis of the survey, an insured amount of Rs 1 crore 67 lakh has been paid to these farmers in their KCC accounts.

Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana compensates farmers for their losses due to risks associated with their crops. With this, farmers are compensated for the loss caused to their crops due to sudden risk or adverse weather.
