Banswara : The sixth convocation of Govind Guru Tribal University, Banswara is likely to be held in December 2024. The girls have once again proved to be the best in the race for the gold medal. This is the third consecutive time when there are more girls than boys in the gold medal list.
The university has released the names of 29 class toppers in the interim list. Of these, 62% are girls. Boys are 38%. Swayampathi students have also performed well and secured 38% position in the list. There are 11 boys and 18 girls in the list released by the university. These include 20 regular and 9 self-study students. This includes 21 students from Banswara, 6 from Dungarpur and 2 from Pratapgarh.
There are 162 affiliated government and private colleges running in Banswara, Dungarpur and Pratapgarh districts, in which about 1.25 lakh regular and self-study students are studying.
5 gram gold layer on gold medal
The medal will be coated with 5 grams of gold. There will be GGTU logo and other pictures on it. Apart from gold, other metals will also be included in the medal. The price of the gold medal to be given in February-2023 was around Rs 28,550 at that time. Considering the rising price of gold and inflation, it is certain to increase this time. However, the university has not yet disclosed anything about the gold medal, its weight and price.
Private and Government Colleges 10-10, Self Study 9
In the gold medal list, there are equal number of students from private and government colleges running in all three districts. Of the 29, 9 are self-study, while of the remaining 20 students, 10 are from government and 10 from private colleges. The highest percentage of 89.91% was from the students of B.Sc. B.Ed. Education Faculty.
