Banswara : 26 plot and building owners of Banswara city have stolen the revenue by stamping less amount while getting the registration done. He got the registration done between the years 1998 to 2017. Stamp theft was revealed in the ICP and AGP audit in the year 2023. In these, the shops were registered as houses, houses as plots and the width of the road was less. The Sub Registrar Office had issued recovery notices against all these plot and building owners. Now the registrar office has issued the final notice against them. If the amount is not deposited in the next 15 days, their plot and building will be seized and recovery will be made. After getting the registration done, till now an amount of Rs 15 lakh 51 thousand 37 has been made including interest and penalty.
