Barmer : A young man riding a bike died in a collision with a dumper on National Highway 68 on Sunday night. The other seriously injured person was admitted to a private hospital in Sanchair. The accident occurred on Mahadev Nagar Service Road near the overbridge of the town. A dumper full of bricks coming from Barmer and a bike going from Dharimanna main market towards Barmer got hit by the driver’s side tire behind the dumper. The accident was so severe that the bike got stuck in the rear tire of the dumper and the dumper was dragged for about 15 feet. Due to this, one bike rider died on the spot and the other one was seriously injured. A CCTV footage of the accident has surfaced.
On information, Dhorimanna police reached the spot. The police kept the body of the deceased at Dharimanna Sub District Hospital. The body was handed over to the family after post-mortem on Monday morning. The other injured youth was referred to Sanchar after first aid late in the night. Police have confiscated the dumper. The police is investigating the case. He was the only son of the deceased parents.
SI Girdhariram said that Dhorimanna resident Dinesh Kumar (22), son of Ramesh Kumar, died in the accident. The condition of Gorkharam (25), son of Saluram, is serious and his treatment is going on in a private hospital in Sanchair. Both the friends were going from home on bike to have dinner at the hotel. Meanwhile, he became a victim of an accident.
