Barmer News Desk: A case of assault on a Discom employee who had gone to take meter reading has come to light. The employee has also made a video. Which is being shared on social media. During this, a conversation is taking place between a person and an employee. The incident took place on Wednesday afternoon in a residential house of Lalani ki Dhani in Barmer Rico area. The employee alleges that the mobile was broken. The landlord and others beat me. Discom employees reached RIICO police station and lodged a report. The police have started investigating the entire matter.
Discom (Jodhpur Vidyut Vitran Nigam Limited) employee Mukesh said – I had gone to Uttarlai Road Lalani ki Dhani to take meter reading. During this time a meter was installed on the light pole. The wires were open from both sides. Then I asked the landlord whether the meter was installed inside the house. So I will take meter reading. When I asked, he told that there is a light connection in the name of Priyanka-Pankaj Dhatrawal. I have to take meter reading. Then he said that the meter is installed outside. Then he said that this meter is switched off. Meter reading has to be taken inside. Then Chunnilal came and asked me who are you to ask?
I started the video on my mobile. So he got angry and started beating me. Then my mobile fell down. This broke the screen. There were 3-4 people who beat me. I have filed a report at RIICO police station.
District General Secretary of Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh Narendra Singh said- My friend Mukesh is the acting meter reader. We went to Lalanis ki Dhani area to take readings. There is a person there, Chunnilal beat him up and broke his mobile.
