Barmer farmer dies due to electric shock

Barmer : A farmer working in the field died after getting hit by lightning. Preliminary information has revealed that he came in contact with electric current while changing the line. The incident took place last evening in Janguon ki Dhani Bhimra village of Nagana police station area of ​​Barmer district. The police kept the body of the deceased in the hospital mortuary. Police have registered a case on the report of the deceased’s brother. After the post-mortem, the body has been handed over to the relatives. According to the police, Bhaira Ram, son of Babu Ram, resident of Janguon ki Dhani Bhimra, gave the report.

It was told that brother Hemraj (18) was doing agricultural work in the field on Wednesday evening. During this time he came in contact with the current flowing from the electric pole. Hearing the screaming sounds, the family members and other farmers reached there. The injured Hemraj was immediately taken to the hospital. There the doctors declared him dead. On receiving the information, Nagana police station reached the spot. The police kept the body of the deceased in the hospital mortuary at night itself.

ASI Hiraram of Nagana police station said – On the report of brother, a case has been registered in Nagana police station. He died due to sudden electrocution near an electric pole. On Thursday, post-mortem was conducted in the presence of family members and the body was handed over to the family members. The deceased was working in his field.
