Barmer NDPS wanted accused arrested after two months

Barmer : Gida police of Balotra district has arrested the absconding accused in the NDPS case. Baytu police had raided his house two months ago and seized 22 kg of poppy seeds. At present the accused is being interrogated. According to the police, information was received that a consignment of illegal doda-poppy could be found in Virendra Nagar Baytu, the residence of Meghwalas. On this, Baytu police raided the house of Mohanlal alias Munna, son of Hanumanram on 17 September. But seeing the police, Mohanlal fled from the spot.

On searching the house, 22 kg of illegal doda-poppy was recovered. Police teams searched for the accused but he managed to escape at that time. Police registered a case under NDPS Act and started investigation. The investigation was handed over to Gida police station officer Devaram. Gida police station officer Devaram said – Police formed a team at the police station level to search for the accused. The teams raided the possible hideouts of the accused. On the basis of technical and information, the police has arrested the accused Mohanlal alias Munna. Police arrested the wanted person after 2 months. At present he is being interrogated in connection with the buying and selling of poppy seeds. Constables Hardamanram and Daluram were involved in the action.
