Barmer police caught drug supplier after 11 months

Barmer : Siwana Police of Balotra district has arrested a drug supplier who was absconding for 11 months. The accused was wanted in the case registered in Sindhari police station. Five NDPS cases are registered against the accused in three police stations of Barmer and Balotra districts. At present, the police is interrogating the accused as to where he brought the drugs from.

According to the police, on December 24, 2023, the silver car was stopped and searched during the police patrolling and blockade by the Sindhari police station officer. 100 grams of illegal MD was found in the car from Berry Dhorimanna of Purva Godaron, resident of Kishnaram, son of Nimbaram.

Kishanaram was arrested on this. A case was registered in this regard at Sindhari police station. Kishnaram was said to have bought the drugs from Ramjeevan alias Kaluram resident of Rohila. After interrogation, accused Kishnaram was presented in the court. From there he was sent to jail. The investigation was handed over to Siwana police station officer.

SI Imran Khan of Siwana police station said – Supplier Ramjeevan alias Kaluram absconded due to fear of arrest. Police raided possible places to catch him. The team tried to catch the wanted accused by raiding different places through technical and traditional policing.

SP Barmer announced a reward of Rs 2 thousand. The team detained accused Ramjeevan alias Kaluram from the village. At present, the police have taken the accused on remand and are interrogating him regarding the purchase and sale of drugs.
