Barmer police reveals theft of gold and silver jewellery, 1 arrested

Barmer : Balotra Police has arrested a thief who stole gold and silver jewelery worth lakhs of rupees from the house. The police was successful in catching the accused after about 10 months. Police have recovered the stolen goods from the accused. Presently, after interrogation, the police presented him in the court. From there he was sent to jail. According to the police, Mahmood had given the report on 12 February 2024. In which he told that on the night of 11th February, thieves broke the locks of my house located on Mungra Road behind Momdan Ground and entered inside. Gold and silver jewellery, cash and other valuables were stolen. Police have registered a case on the report and started investigation.

Balotra police station officer said- Reached the spot on information of theft and inspected the spot. Along with this, they started searching for the thieves by interrogating the nearby people and scanning CCTV. Technical and traditional police raided different places and interrogated the suspect. During this, Asif Ali alias Jagu son of Mohammad Aslam resident of Imam Hazam Road Kabir Nagar Sursagar Jodhpur was detained. He was arrested after confessing to the crime. The stolen goods were recovered from the accused. After interrogation he was presented in the court. He was sent from there. A case is already registered against the accused in Balotra police station. ASI Purkharam and driver constable Farsaram were involved in the action.
