Barmer : In the 68th State Level 17 and 19 Years Girls Athletics Competition held at Government Higher Secondary School, Shahpur, 17 year old girls of Barmer district brought glory to the name of Barmer district by winning two medals and 19 year old girls won one medal. Under the leadership of Chairman Asuram Jani Mule Ka Tala, Anata Saran won silver medal in triple jump, Yashoda Saran won bronze medal in 400 meter hurdles and Anchi Beniwal brought glory to Barmer district by winning bronze medal in high jump. Most of the girls performed excellently and made it to the finals.
Sharda Suthar, Dholi Vishnoi, Purkharam, Dungraram Nehra, Mukesh Kumar Bhojaria and Devaram Chaudhary, who were in-charge and trained the team, honored the winning athletes by giving them cash prizes for their encouragement.
