Barmer : Three-day pulse polio campaign will start from December 8 in Barmer district. On the first day, polio doses will be administered to children aged 0-5 years at the booths. After this, medicines will be given to underprivileged children by going door to door for two days. In this regard, the Additional District Collector organized a workshop in the conference hall. Polio doses should be administered to as many children as possible on mission mode.
A task force meeting was held for this. Actually, a meeting of the task force regarding the sub-national pulse polio campaign was organized under the chairmanship of ADM Rajendra Singh Chandawat. Representatives of Women and Child Development Department, Education Department, Block Chief Medical Officer, Ayurveda Department, Principals of Government and Private Nursing Colleges and other related government departments, WHO, UNICEF were present in it.
ADM informed that in the three-day sub-national pulse polio vaccination campaign from December 8 to 10, polio vaccine will be administered to children aged 0 to 5 years in Barmer district. Necessary instructions were given after determining the responsibilities of the departments concerned. The vaccination campaign will be launched in the district on December 8. CMHO Dr. Sanjeev Mittal said that no child between 0 to 5 years should be deprived of polio medicine during the Sub-National Pulse Polio Programme. For this, necessary training is being given to all the women health workers, Asha associates and workers working at the village level.
