Barmer : On the occasion of International Day of Persons with Disabilities, Barmer District Collector Tina Dabi was honored for her excellent work in the field of welfare and service of specially abled people at Bhagwant Singh Auditorium in Jaipur.
During the state level function, Social Justice and Empowerment Minister Avinash Gehlot and Commissioner and Special Government Secretary H Guite honored Barmer District Collector Tina Dabi with a memento and citation. During this, while appreciating the works related to the welfare of disabled people in Barmer district, coordinated efforts under Nav Barmer, Sashakt Samaj Abhiyan, information was given about running a campaign on the same lines in other districts of the state.
In the state level programme, the best individuals and organizations working for the specially abled people and institutions selected in various categories were honored with an amount of Rs 10,000, citation and awards. During this, Deputy Director of Social Justice and Empowerment Department Surendra Pratap Singh was also present.
It is noteworthy that in compliance with Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma’s budget announcement point number 92 for the year 2024-25, Barmer District Collector Tina Dabi, in collaboration with the District Administration and Social Justice and Empowerment Department, launched ‘New Barmer-Coordinated Effort Strong’ for the welfare and empowerment of the disabled. An innovative initiative was taken in the form of ‘Samaj Abhiyan’. Through this campaign, Barmer has emerged as a model district for the welfare of the disabled.
