Jaipur : 32 homeless people of Vimukt, nomadic and semi-nomadic caste living in Rajasthan and wandering from door to door will realize their dream of a permanent home. To bring poor families into the mainstream, Bhajan Lal government will allot land at concessional rates today. On the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, today at 11:30 am, Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma will distribute residential leases to the liberated, nomadic and semi-nomadic families in a state level function organized at the State Agricultural Management Institute, Durgapura Tonk Road in Jaipur.
Education and Panchayati Raj Minister Madan Dilawar will preside over the program. Jaipur MP Manju Sharma will be present as a special guest. The lease distribution program will be organized simultaneously at the state and district level. The state level function will be shown live in the programs being held in all the districts. The Chief Minister will also communicate with the beneficiaries of the selected 10 districts through video conferencing. During the program, Honorable Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma will also inaugurate the Swachhta Hi Seva-2024 program.
20711 families will get free plot
About 20711 families have been selected in Rajasthan. About 33354 applications were received for land. After the land is allotted, they will not be able to sell the land. About 32 castes included in the nomadic and semi-nomadic category have been considered eligible for this.
Selection of most eligible families in these districts
The districts where maximum eligible families have been selected are Ajmer, Bhilwara, Bikaner, Chittorgarh, Hanumangarh, Jalore and Pali, while the least eligible families have been selected in Churu, Dausa, Karauli, Banswara, Dholpur and Sawai Madhopur. .
