During this time, a car going from Banswara city towards Dungarpur road was stopped and searched. A cardboard carton was found in the trunk of the car.

When it was opened, bundles of notes were found, which when counted turned out to be Rs 40 lakh. There were two people in the car. In which the driver revealed his name as Anil Katara resident of Semaliya Garhi and the person sitting with him revealed his name as Vimal Jain resident of Partapur. During interrogation, both could not give satisfactory answers regarding the amount. The police have seized the amount on this. Anil and Vimal have been detained.

Use in elections is being investigated

It is noteworthy that there are by-elections in Chaurasi assembly constituency of Dungarpur district adjacent to Banswara district, in view of this, the police is also investigating from this angle whether this amount is being used to influence the voters in the elections. . In Dungarpur district, police have seized more than Rs 6 crore which was being carried illegally in the election environment. In such a situation, the police is investigating it.
