The largest dam of the Chambal River Valley Project is Rana Pratap Sagar. This morning, water is being drained out by opening 2 gates of Rana Pratap Sagar Dam. Due to rain in the last 3 days in Indore and Ujjain of Madhya Pradesh, water is coming in. The inflow of water started after the arrival of 1 lakh cusecs of water in Gandhi Sagar catchment. On the other hand, water is being drained by opening 3 gates of Gandhi Sagar Dam.

The water of Gandhi Sagar Dam comes to Rana Pratap Sagar Dam. 60 thousand cusecs of water is coming into Gandhi Sagar Dam. The full filling capacity of Rana Pratap Sagar Dam is 1157.50 feet. There is currently 1157.30 feet of water in Rana Pratap Sagar Dam. First one gate was opened at 10 am and at 12 noon the second gate was opened and drainage of water started.
