Bettiah Maharaj’s property will now be under Bihar government: Dilip Jaiswal

Patna, 26 November (IANS). Bihar Land and Revenue Minister Dilip Jaiswal said on Tuesday that the property of Bettiah Maharaj will now be under the Bihar government. On the second day of Bihar Legislature winter session, Land Revenue Minister Dilip Jaiswal presented the bill in the House, which has got the approval of the House.

After this, Revenue Land Reforms Minister Dilip Jaiswal, while talking to IANS, said that Bettiah Maharaj’s land was dedicated to the Court of Wards by the British before independence during the British era. Because there was no child after the last queen. So the Bihar government had vested the right to property on land within itself, but making a law for the same was pending. Many people had encroached. The land was in the eye of the mafia. People were encroaching and using the land. In such a situation the government had to make a law. Now after the enactment of this law, about 15,200 acres of land will now vest in the Bihar government and its ownership will be with the Bihar government.

He said that if a case regarding this land is going on in any court, after the enactment of this law, that case will also be considered closed. Apart from this, he said that on the land available to us around 15,200 acres, we will build government institutions, medical colleges, hospitals and playgrounds. That means we will work to bring it to public use.

Under this law, we have given the ownership rights of 143 acres of land in Uttar Pradesh to the Bihar government. Relations will be established with the government there after the enactment of this law. Will work to resolve this matter in a good way.
