Bhajan Lal government is strict, license of e-friends who are negligent will be cancelled

Jaipur : The proceedings of the budget session of Rajasthan Vidhan Sabha began with the Question Hour at 11 am on Monday. During this, the Behror MLA raised the issue of pension of the elderly and asked the government what steps is the government going to take to help the elderly who are not able to get pension even after being in the list? What planning has the government done in this direction? Will they be able to get the benefit or not? And what action is being taken against those due to whom their pension is stuck?

Pension of 449 old pensioners stuck

Responding to all these questions, Social Justice and Empowerment Minister Avinash Gehlot said in the House, ‘In the last three years, a total of 23068 elderly people have been found eligible to get pension under the Social Security Pension Scheme. Out of these, 22619 elderly people have started getting the benefit of pension. The cases of the remaining 449 pensioners are pending due to the following reasons. According to the data, the pension of 21 eligible elderly people is pending due to wrong verification by e-Mitra. Whereas the files of 407 pensioners are pending due to their death. At the same time, the pension of 4 elderly people is stuck due to wrong bank details and 17 due to not being able to get physical verification done.’

Government will cancel the license of e-mitras

After listening to the minister’s reply, when the Behror MLA asked whether your government is planning to take any action against the erring e-mitras? In response to this, Minister Avinash said that the licenses to e-mitras are issued by the IT department. However, we have received the list of those e-mitra operators, due to whose mistake the pension of eligible pensioners is pending. We will send this list to the IT department and recommend cancelling the licenses of all these people.

Officers will go to homes and do verification

Minister Avinash said that if eligible pensioners whose Aadhar card is not linked to the mobile number or are facing any problem in their biometric verification, then they can meet the concerned approved officer (BDO in rural areas and SDO in urban areas). An additional facility has been provided by the government on the portal, in which you can get the verification done through OTP from the officer’s mobile. We are going to issue a circular for those elderly eligible people who are at such a stage of age that they cannot go to the officer. Then through e-mitra, the officer will go to the elderly’s house and meet them and get the verification work completed and start the pension.
