Jaipur : Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma returned to Jaipur on Monday afternoon from a four-day Maharashtra tour. As soon as he arrived, he took a meeting of various departments. Also reviewed the preparations for Rising Rajasthan. In the meeting of the Sports and Youth Affairs Department, the CM instructed the officials to work towards making the state a leader in sports. It is the priority of the government that Rajasthan progress in sports. In the meeting held at CMO, the Chief Minister said that the Youth and Sports Policy will be issued soon so that the problems of youth and sportspersons can be resolved as soon as possible. In this policy, special attention will be given to science, analysis, counselling, nutrition i.e. diet of the players. CM said that Khelo Rajasthan Youth Games will be organized in the state on the lines of Khelo India Youth Games. With a view to prepare rural youth for sports competitions, 163 gram panchayats with a population of ten thousand have been selected in the first phase. Open gym and sports grounds will be built here.
Rs 100 crore will be spent on Mission Olympics
CM said that Mission Olympics 2028 has been started to take sports to the pinnacle in the state. Through this, fifty talented players of the state will be provided world class facilities for the Olympic Games. For this, a Center of Excellence for Sports will be constructed in Jaipur at a cost of Rs 100 crore.
